Knocking around Augusta State - Augusta, Georgia

Beautiful blossoms lining the boulevards from top to bottom!

A big blue sky with the warm sun shining down on me with the birds singing took my to a place I know so well, my home state, Montana.

Reading up on how the replicated the  growth rings from this old tree which were it once stood is now a side walk was quite intriguing!  They sliced a piece from the base after they fell the tree, sand blasted the surface wearing down the softer wood leaving ridges from the more dense rings.  From there, plaster was spread across the surface and mark the dates within the tree as you see it now!
