Schoolhouse Rock - Callaway Plantation, Washington, Georgia

To think that either this plantation was large enough to support it's own school with neighboring families and servants or the Callaway's just had that many children to fill a school house!
At the time of my visit here, it was just getting into that is it spring or summer sort of state, more commonly known as getting hot and humid in Georgia.  All that I hope for is that these children were done for the school year by this time because it felt like a sauna in the small chamber-like room!
